Godage Book Emporium envisages having its own ultra modern auditorium which can be used for launching new publications, holding literary festivals and conducting lectures, workshop and commemorative meetings. A literary museum will also be part of this auditorium. The museum will showcase memorabilia of eminent writers and depict. The evolution of the Sinhala alphabet and writing and printing in Sri Lanka.
This auditorium will also consist of a studio for recording TV and radio discussions and rest rooms for outstation writers. It will also have a “manuscript bank” of Sri Lankan writers for channeling to prospective publishers. This was planned after identifying of the important role played by editors in literary creations and academic publications.
Godage Book Emporium hopes to enlist the services of some editors who could assist in improving the quality of books.
